Travel Awards
To support the next generation of scientists in auditory and vestibular research, the Midwest Auditory Research Conference (MARC) will provide travel awards to 25 trainees who demonstrate financial need.

Details
Eligibility:
Applicants must be current students, residents, or postdoctoral fellows.
Application:
Interested trainees should submit an application that includes:

A one-page statement describing:
-
the applicant’s training status (e.g., undergraduate, postdoctoral fellow, etc.)
-
the applicant’s professional goals
-
financial need for the award
-
contact information for the applicant
-
the title of the applicant’s abstract (if presenting)

A copy of the applicant’s CV
Submission Instruction and Deadline:

Proposals for these awards must be submitted electronically as a single PDF and emailed to MARCConvention2025@neomed.edu with applicant’s name in the subject line, no later than Tuesday April 15, 2025.

Only complete applications, submitted by Tuesday April 15, 2025, will be considered for award. Applications will be reviewed by members of the MARC Committee. Awards will be made on a competitive basis with consideration given to applicant’s financial need.
Award Announcement and Disbursement:

Award recipients will be notified by May 16, 2025. Recipients will be expected to attend the Friday evening MARC reception during the conference, during which they will be publically recognized. The travel award will be disbursed by reimbursing expenses following the conference. Recipients will be required to maintain receipts to document their expenses. All receipts should be emailed to MARCConvention2025@neomed.edu, and will be due July 1, 2025. Any receipts submitted after July 1, 2025, will not be reimbursed.
